As Executive Producer, Lillian (Lilly) Preston manages large exhibition projects with a focus on linear media.
Lilly began her career in production at Batwin + Robin Productions, where she got her footing creating media for museums, visitor centers and live events. There, she led the production and installation of multimedia projects for clients such as The Library of Congress and the Walt Disney Family Museum.
Lilly served as Head of Production at Ralph Appelbaum Associates for four years, where she helped build an in-house media division with an eye toward more holistic and integrated exhibition design services. She has worked on international as well as domestic projects, ranging from a 200-screen immersive media environment for the Vanke Pavilion at the 2015 Milan World Expo to IBM’s THINK Exhibit at Lincoln Center.
In 2015, Lilly joined the adjunct faculty at the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU Tisch, where she teaches an interactive exhibition design course, “Playful Communication of Serious Research.” Over the summer of 2015, Lilly also launched the ITP Innovation Lab, a 4-week summer intensive focused on re-imagining exhibits for museums and public spaces.
Lilly is not only an expert in executing media for large-format, unconventional canvases, but also deeply invested in the content development of her projects. At Bluecadet she excels at marrying digital production with compelling storytelling to provide users with an educational, engaging and entertaining experience.
