Katie is a designer who seeks to create personal and global narratives that captivate the viewer and raise awareness.
Katie has employed illustration and a variety of graphic styles for projects across a broad spectrum of topics including postcolonialism, memory, environmentalism, the celebration of culture and traditions, and the impact of language. Working at Bluecadet allows her to continually position herself at the intersection of design and social justice.
Katie holds an both a BFA and an MFA in Graphic & Interactive Design from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University. Her MFA thesis explored the reclaiming of colonized space in Cambodia.
In her spare time you can find Katie eating her way around her South Philly neighborhood and spending the ensuing food comas with her two cats and many plants.
