CreativeMornings comes to Philadelphia
CreativeMornings is a free breakfast lecture series for the creative community, with monthly events held in 87 cities around the world—from Amsterdam and Atlanta, to Warsaw and Washington, DC.
The event was launched in 2008, when Tina Roth Eisenberg started CreativeMornings out of a desire for an ongoing, accessible event for New York’s creative community. The concept was simple: breakfast and a short talk one Friday morning a month, free and open to all.
Today, attendees gather in cities around the world to enjoy fresh coffee, friendly people, and inspiring conversation. Volunteer hosts and their team members organize local chapters that not only celebrate a city’s creative talent, but also promote an open space to connect with like-minded individuals.
The City of Philadelphia secured its chapter in early 2014. Hosted and organized by Josh Goldblum of Bluecadet, the Philly chapter has developed a strong following. The event featuring award-winning designers Jason Kernevich and Dustin Summers of The Heads of State drew over 200 attendees to the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. CreativeMornings Philadelphia events have also featured author and Quirk Books’ Social Media Manager Eric Smith at the Center for Architecture; Cipher Prime video game entrepreneur Will Stallwood at Drexel University; and jazz trumpeter Josh Lawrence at the Kimmel Center.
