National World War II Museum

Becoming a Leading Voice on World War II

nationalww2museum.org

Project Overview

The National World War II Museum inspires people to embrace the lessons of WWII. It offers stories of heroism, human tragedies, voices of liberation, and explores the responsibilities of victory.

Bluecadet worked with the Museum to transform their web presence into a tool that matches the breadth of the Museum’s storytelling. The new site serves as a publishing platform for curators and historians (including content from the Museum’s newly-launched Institute for the Study of War and Democracy). It allows The Museum’s diverse audience groups (veterans, families, scholars, students) to connect and engage and positions the Museum as a leading voice on all things World War II.

Using Video to Promote Events

The National World War II’s museum experience is immersive and emotional. A primary goal was to help the web site match that experience.

An Exceptional Mobile Reading Experience

Article views that load quickly, are immensely readable, and are rich with the archival imagery and video that is a hallmark of the museum’s storytelling.

I love that the new website gives our curators, historians, educators, archivists, and administrative staff a platform and a voice. Bringing this site to life with Bluecadet has been one of my all-time favorite collaborations.
