Overview

Bluecadet is looking for a full-time, technical-focused Senior Web Project Manager to join our dynamic studio. We want someone who is passionate about the intersection of design, technology and storytelling, who is driven by curiosity, and who is excited to dive into new challenges.

You’ll work with our production team to collaborate across our narrative, design and development disciplines. Your day is filled with conversations — with the business side, product owners, marketing, design, UX, coders, testers, content and, most importantly, clients. You have built great relationships with these people.

The Job

As a Senior Web Project Manager you will play a role in guiding the development and successful launch of digital products. Through critical thinking and problem solving you will work with internal teams to help drive the project through key phases while being aware of the budget and scope.

You know the digital landscape and you can communicate with all walks of digital life. You understand the nature of software development, the importance of UX research and the fundamentals of digital strategy. You see and understand the pieces and how they fit together. You’re a technical project management geek and you know the latest trends. You have a rock-solid understanding of several project methodologies and frameworks, and you can create new ways of working.

Your ability to foster a dynamic and enjoyable work environment is unmatched; you delve into each team member’s challenges, address impediments, and cultivate an atmosphere of continuous improvement. Armed with insights into team dynamics, you motivate, inspire, and lead with finesse.

Flexibility is your forte; you adeptly steer projects, recalibrating your approach daily to prioritize tasks, adjust features, and accommodate evolving needs and innovations. Your adeptness at estimating, coupled with vigilant budget management, ensures projects align seamlessly with business objectives. Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely project tracking and reporting, fostering transparency for both clients and internal teams.
  • Set clear priorities for project teams, encompassing budget, timelines, feature sets, and client objectives.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, facilitating smooth collaboration between internal and client stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, guiding initiatives through strategy, design, and development phases.
  • Collaborate closely with development leads to orchestrate development cycles that harmonize client priorities with recommended tasks.
  • Maintain organized ticketing and development planning tools, ensuring clarity and efficiency.
  • Ensure accuracy in reporting to track project budgets and success metrics, promptly addressing any concerning indicators.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients, fostering strong relationships and aligning technical and business objectives.

Must haves

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in digital product management.
  • Proficiency with GitHub or similar tools, encompassing administration, automation, and board settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex digital products, including large institutional websites.
  • Customer-centric approach, coupled with strong problem-solving and listening skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse digital platforms.
  • Track record of managing cross-functional teams and shepherding projects from concept to launch.
